Build Update: February 27

Game Updates:

Miniboss: Vulture

The final area of the demo now includes a miniboss to test your skills!

Resting: Wellspring

A new interactable wellspring has been added north of the starting area. Explore the game world and be rewarded with heals and a respawn point! Wellsprings also preserve your key and gate progress between deaths.

Enemy health system:

  • After knockdown, enemies gain a shield that must be broken with magic.
  • Bloom gauge can no longer be farmed from enemies beyond the second knockdown.
  • Bloom gauge cannot be farmed from shielded enemies.
  • Enemy shield are now broken by traps.
  • Most enemies no longer revive if you "tag" them with magic before knocking them down.

Bloom:

  • Sprout-bloom "chain reaction" removed. Sprouts now slow nearby enemies for a limited time.
  • Added more visual indicators to signal a full gauge.
  • Bloom damage buffed.
  • Bloom resets on death.

Thorns:

  • Thorn damage buffed.
  • Added a visual indicator in your magic bar to show when you can cast thorns.

General:

  • Added menus.
  • Debugged game restarts not resetting some UI elements.
  • Debugged some attacks not registering hits on enemies or environment.
  • Debugged some attacks having a multi-hit effect when activated between physics updates.
  • Debugged some animation hitches when stopping movement and going to idle frames.
  • Fixed a bug where you could use Thorns to activate levers from behind impassable walls.
